HomeGlossary › Candidate verification

What is candidate verification?

Candidate verification confirms that an applicant is a real person whose identity, background, and skills match their profile. Layers include identity checks with liveness detection, community or employment provenance, and skills evidence. It became a central hiring concern as AI-generated applications and deepfake candidates surged through 2025–26.
